Nashville songwriter and actress, Lauren Braddock (Havey), grew up in Music City the only child of Hall of Fame songwriter Bobby Braddock. A self-proclaimed "Daddy's girl," she is honored to have accompanied him in concert venues as varied as the renowned Bluebird Cafe to the Bottom Line in New York City to the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco, singing his classic country hits like D-I-V-O-R-C-E by Tammy Wynette and Unwed Fathers co-written with folk legend John Prine.
Lauren graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Manhattan and worked there and in L.A. before returning to her hometown of Nashville. She has released two CD's produced by Grammy-winner Don Henry, including the folk-rock opera, A Journey to the Son, which they wrote to accompany Lauren's parenting memoir by the same name. Among her song cuts, Blake Shelton recorded Lauren and Don's co-write If I Was Your Man released on his platinum-selling debut CD. Lauren has starred/appeared in numerous theater, film, television and music video productions. Roles include razor-tongued poet Dorothy Parker, contemplative Southern narrator "Jean Louise," the adult "Scout" version to child actress Natalia Dyer (who would go on to star in the hit TV show Stranger Things), the face of mental illness in Dixie Gamble's NAMI national training films to teach compassionate responses to law enforcement, and the face of the perfect foster mom in industrials potential adoptive parents must see throughout Tennessee. Lauren first got into the Screen Actors Guild playing Lindsay Wagner's teenage sister in the Made for Television movie "Shattered Dreams."
Last year Lauren released a new EP, Witch Hairs Don't Care, and a book, Homebound Healing in Troubled Times, that offers tips and tricks for anxiety relief during COVID and beyond through modalities including arts and music therapies.
